HX Expeditions (HX), a pioneering adventure cruise company, is set to redefine Arctic tourism through a significant partnership with the Inuit community in Nunavut, Canada. This initiative marks a groundbreaking step in the cruise industry, as HX aims to enhance traveler experiences while simultaneously supporting local cultural heritage and economic growth.

This summer, HX will introduce excursions designed collaboratively with Inuit elders, local residents, and community staff. This community-led program is unique, as it is the first of its scale in the region. Notably, 100% of revenue generated from these excursions will be directed toward individuals and businesses within Nunavut, ensuring that the benefits of tourism directly support local community development.
Excursions and Experiences to Anticipate
Travelers embarking on HX’s 25-day Northwest Passage sailings will have the opportunity to partake in excursions that celebrate Inuit traditions and natural beauty. From guided hikes enriched with Inuit storytelling to traditional Arctic char fishing, visitors will engage intimately with the culture and everyday life of the Inuit people. The average group size of 10 to 12 guests allows for meaningful connections and experiences that reflect authentic Inuit hospitality.
