On Tuesday, Breeze Airways shared on its Instagram that passengers can now request trading cards on flights from Tampa International Airport (TPA).
The first batch is part of the Hometown Carrier Collection, featuring key Tampa travel facts and Breeze’s Airbus A220-300.
The startup carrier was created by former JetBlue founder David Neeleman, and it launched its inaugural flight in 2021 from Tampa to Charleston just over three years ago. Tampa is now one of the carrier’s biggest bases, as the low-cost airline connects travelers to two dozen nonstop destinations and operates service to over 50 cities.
Breeze isn’t the only airline to offer trading cards, as they’ve been a staple at Delta Air Lines. Each collectible features a different aircraft in Delta’s fleet, with 11 cards that are currently up for grabs.
Breeze plans to unify its fleet by the end of the year by operating all Airbus A220s, so we can expect these trading cards to display unique features of Breeze’s cities rather than showcasing different aircraft. The airline currently operates a fleet of both the Airbus A220-300 aircraft and the Embraer 190 and 195 aircraft, while the latter two would eventually transition to charter service.
