Introducing New Nonstop Service to Kona
Delta Airlines is enhancing its connectivity to the beautiful islands of Hawaii by adding new flights this upcoming winter season. Beginning on December 19, travelers will have the opportunity to enjoy nonstop service from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) to Kona International Airport (KOA). This new route will run through March 28, providing more options for those looking to escape to Hawaii’s idyllic beaches.
Expanded Routes and Increased Frequency
In addition to the Salt Lake City to Kona route, Delta is also set to increase its flight offerings to Maui. Starting earlier than usual on October 6, flights from Salt Lake City to Kahului Airport (OGG) will operate four times a week, transitioning to daily service in November. During the holiday season, from December 19 to January 5, passengers can benefit from not only a second daily flight to Kahului but also additional daily flights between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu. Moreover, the route connecting Atlanta to Maui will resume earlier than anticipated on November 6.
Traveling to Hawaii, Enhanced Experience
For those using Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), flights to Honolulu (HNL) will continue throughout the year, featuring upgraded aircraft from November 6 to March 28. As a Delta spokesperson noted, this expansion represents a 10% increase in seating compared to last year, allowing more travelers to explore the enchanting landscapes of Hawaii. Kona has been recently highlighted as a ‘can’t miss’ destination, famous for unique experiences such as nighttime snorkeling with manta rays, making it an enticing choice for winter travelers.
