Exciting New Routes to Alaska

As travelers plan their summer getaways, Delta Airlines is expanding its service to one of the most breathtaking destinations in the United States: Alaska. Starting June 8, 2025, Delta will resume its seasonal flights between Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Fairbanks International Airport (FAI). This route is especially significant as Fairbanks serves as a gateway to the stunning Denali National Park.

Convenient Travel Options for All

The five-hour flight will operate on Delta’s Airbus A220-100, with daily service available until September 9, 2025. Angie Spear, director of Alaska International Airport, expressed her enthusiasm for the new routes, stating, “This new route enhances our connectivity and reaffirms Fairbanks’ importance within Delta’s network.” Tickets for this journey are already on sale directly through Delta’s website, starting at a competitive price of $264 one-way or 22,500 Skymiles plus taxes and fees.

Increased Flights to Anchorage

In addition to Fairbanks, Delta is also ramping up its connections to Anchorage. Just in time for the Memorial Day weekend, flights from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) to Anchorage International Airport (ANC) will increase to daily service. The seven-hour journey will be conducted using Delta’s Boeing 757 aircraft. Furthermore, a larger Boeing 767-300ER will commence operations between Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) and Anchorage, accommodating more passengers. Notably, Delta isn’t alone in expanding its service, as United Airlines has also added flights to Anchorage for the peak summer season.
