Finnair’s Ambitious Expansion

In an exciting announcement for travelers, Finland’s flagship airline, Finnair, has unveiled its largest-ever schedule for flights from the U.S. to Finland, set to launch in summer 2025. This significant expansion will not only enhance connectivity but also cater to the increasing demand for transatlantic travel.

Increased Frequency to Major Cities

Starting March 30, 2025, Finnair will boost its service from Helsinki to several major U.S. cities. Los Angeles will see flights increase from three to five times per week, while Chicago will have daily flights available, up from the current five weekly. Dallas will experience an increase to 11 weekly flights, and Seattle will gain an additional two weekly flights during peak periods.

Competitive Pricing and Modern Fleet

Finnair aims to provide accessible travel options, with one-way fares starting at $468 from Chicago and $543 from Dallas. The airline’s fleet, which primarily consists of Airbus aircraft, is complemented by newer models like the Embraer 190 and ATR 72-500. With a recent $200 million cabin overhaul, travelers can look forward to enhanced comfort across various ticket types, including a premium economy cabin and an upgraded business class experience.
