Introducing the New Embraer E190 Cabin

Finnair has recently announced an exciting update to its regional cabin design, particularly on the Embraer E190 jets, which will serve routes connecting Helsinki to Edinburgh, Manchester, and Dublin. This renewal aims to provide travelers with a modern and cohesive Scandinavian experience across both regional and long-haul flights.

Cabin Features and Comfort Enhancements

The refreshed cabin showcases a stunning aesthetic that mirrors the design found in Finnair’s long-haul fleet. Passengers will enjoy a meticulously crafted environment featuring signature dark blue and grey tones, enhanced by wooden laminate accents. In business class, passengers can look forward to upgraded seats designed for increased comfort, with improved cushioning and recline functionality across rows 1-9. Additionally, every economy passenger seated in rows 10-25 will also benefit from newly designed seats, combined with LED lighting to create an inviting atmosphere throughout the cabin.

Commitment to Sustainability and Customer Experience

As part of its commitment to environmental responsibility, Finnair has integrated lightweight materials in the new cabin design, reducing the aircraft’s weight by approximately 150 kilograms. This innovation not only cuts fuel consumption but also curbs emissions on short-haul routes. Eerika Enne, Finnair’s head of inflight customer experience, expressed enthusiasm about this transformation, stating that the aim was to create a harmonious environment that resonates with customers’ perceptions of the airline.
