JetBlue’s New Routes for Winter Travel
JetBlue is making significant moves ahead of the winter travel season by expanding its service to several popular destinations. The airline recently announced the addition of new routes to Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Phoenix. These changes highlight JetBlue’s commitment to refining its network while providing an award-winning travel experience.
New Services from Key Airports
In the New York area, JetBlue will start new services from Long Island’s MacArthur Airport (ISP). The new offerings include a daily flight to Orlando, and flights to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and West Palm Beach (VPS) four times a week. From Boston Logan Airport, JetBlue will introduce a second daily route to Phoenix, which will feature Mint, a business class-level service with flat-bed seats.
Additionally, JetBlue will expand its operations from Manchester, New Hampshire, to Florida with new routes to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, and Orlando starting in January 2025. The Orlando route will operate daily, while the Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers routes will operate three days a week. Furthermore, Portland, Maine (PWM) will see a new route to Orlando (MCO) in October, operating three times a week as a winter seasonal service.
Adjustments and Route Terminations
While JetBlue is expanding in some areas, it is also pulling back in others. The airline will exit seven markets, including Burbank, CA (BUR); Charlotte, NC (CLT); Minneapolis, MN (MSP); Palm Springs, CA (PSP); San Antonio, TX (SAT); Tallahassee, FL (TLH); and Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe (PTP). Affected customers will have the option to rebook on different flights or receive a refund if no alternative flights are available.
Overall, these strategic adjustments reflect JetBlue’s ongoing efforts to optimize its network and enhance the travel experience for its passengers.
