Introduction: Supporting Wildfire Survivors
More than a year since wildfires devastated Maui’s western coast, including the cherished town of Lāhainā, the community continues to rebuild. In an admirable effort to aid survivors, the Hua Momona Foundation will host a special festival aimed at raising funds for essential resources such as food, housing, and mental health support.
Event Details: A Three-Day Extravaganza
The event, scheduled from September 5-7, will take place across three distinct locations: Hua Momona Farms in Kapalua, Ritz-Carlton Maui, and Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Organized by the Hua Momona Foundation, a reputable 501(c)(3) entity, the festival promises an enriching experience for attendees while serving a noble cause.
Star-Studded Line-Up: Chefs and Musicians Unite
The festival will boast an exceptional line-up of chefs and musicians. Top chefs, including contestants from Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Next Level Chef’ such as Zach Laidlaw, Ryan Von Smith, Gabi Chappel, and Christina Miros, will curate mouth-watering dishes. Musical performances will feature renowned artists like Billy Cox, Ernie Isley of the Isley Brothers, Daryl Jones from the Rolling Stones, and Mick Fleetwood from Fleetwood Mac. The array of talent underscores the festival’s commitment to bringing people together for a common good.
Community and Hope
“It’s really special to see this event coming together,” said Garrett Marrero, CEO and co-founder of Maui Brewing Co. “When chefs and musicians unite to help those impacted by the wildfires here in Maui, it’s more than just a gesture of goodwill. It’s a great reminder of how the community can come together and shed our differences when we encounter crises.”
Through this festival, the Hua Momona Foundation aims to channel the collective strength and compassion of the community towards a future of hope and recovery for wildfire survivors.
