Exciting New Travel Connections from Nashville
Nashville is set to become even more accessible for international travelers with the introduction of two direct flights to Europe. Beginning in spring 2025, Aer Lingus will offer flights from Dublin to the renowned “music city,” while Icelandair will connect Nashville to Reykjavik. This expansion not only enhances Nashville’s appeal as a travel destination but also encourages greater cultural and business exchanges.
Aer Lingus: Linking Nashville and Dublin
Aer Lingus is scheduled to launch its inaugural flight from Dublin to Nashville on April 12, 2025. With four weekly flights operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays aboard an Airbus A321XLR, travelers can look forward to year-round opportunities (aside from a six-week hiatus in January and February). Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus’ Chief Customer Officer, emphasizes the deep-rooted connection between Irish music and Nashville’s country music scene, making this new route appealing to both tourists and business travelers alike.
Icelandair’s New Gateway: Reykjavik to Nashville
Following closely on the heels of Aer Lingus, Icelandair will commence its service from Nashville to Reykjavik starting on May 16, 2025. This connection will operate four times a week using a Boeing 737-800 Max aircraft, offering travelers American gateways to the broader European continent. Bogason, Icelandair’s President and CEO, highlights how this new service will not only connect passengers to Iceland but also facilitate further journeys across the United States.
As Nashville International Airport continues to expand its international offerings—including flights to various destinations such as Cancun, London, and Montreal—the added connections to Europe promise to enrich the travel experiences available to Nashville’s residents and visitors.
