Introducing New Routes

TAP Air Portugal is expanding its reach with the introduction of three new direct flights from the United States to Portugal, set to launch in May 2025. This initiative aims to provide travelers greater access to European destinations. The new routes include flights between Boston and Porto, Los Angeles and Lisbon, as well as San Francisco and Terceira in the Azores.

Flight Details

The first route to commence is between Boston and Porto on May 14, 2025. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, continuing until October 25. Travelers can enjoy competitive fares starting at $529 roundtrip when booked by December 17. Following this, on May 16, the Los Angeles to Lisbon route will begin, with flights scheduled on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It will also run on Saturdays starting from June, with fares beginning at $679 roundtrip for early bookings.

The Azores Connection

Lastly, TAP Air Portugal will initiate direct service from San Francisco to Terceira starting June 3, operating weekly on Tuesdays through August 26. With this route, TAP Air Portugal expands its presence, having already established a network from seven U.S. cities, now adding Los Angeles as the eighth gateway for travelers. Carlos Antunes, TAP’s Director for the Americas, expressed enthusiasm about these new routes, highlighting the benefits of their Portugal stopover program that allows travelers to explore the country without extra airfare.
