Introduction to TSA PreCheck Pop-Ups

As the busy summer travel season approaches, New York City is excited to announce its first-ever TSA PreCheck pop-up events. Created by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), TSA PreCheck is a security program designed to expedite the airport screening process for travelers. With over 20 million members, this program delivers a significant time-saving advantage by allowing participants to use a special screening line where they can keep their shoes and laptops in their bags.

Details of the Enrollment Events

From March 25 to March 29, 2025, travelers can take advantage of the TSA PreCheck enrollment opportunities located at the Concourse of Rockefeller Center and inside the MetLife Building near Grand Central Station. Hosted by TSA’s authorized enrollment provider, Telos Corporation, these events will operate on specific days and hours. Appointments are necessary, and travelers can easily secure theirs through the TSA’s official website, granting them quicker access to this valuable service.

Benefits and Process of TSA PreCheck Membership

The TSA PreCheck membership lasts for five years, with an initial cost of $85. Enrolling during the pop-up events involves capturing a photo, fingerprints, and validating identity, ensuring a streamlined experience. Following enrollment, most participants receive their TSA eligibility within three to five days. Additionally, travelers unable to access the NYC pop-ups can locate hundreds of other TSA-authorized enrollment centers nationwide, including major airports and retail locations like Staples and Office Depot, making it easier than ever to join the program.
