A New Magical Experience at Universal’s Epic Universe
Slytherins and Gryffindors alike have a reason to rejoice as Universal Orlando Resort has officially revealed details about its new harry potter-themed land, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, coming to the highly-anticipated Epic Universe. This announcement marks the fifth immersive land coming to the park, joining an east coast version of Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon — Isles of Berk, and Celestial Park.
What to Expect in The Ministry of Magic
The new Wizarding World of Harry Potter land promises to blend the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series with the 1920s wizarding Paris from Warner Bros. Pictures’ Fantastic Beasts films. Guests will enjoy a mix of attractions, dining, shopping, and spellbinding entertainment. Key highlights include the flagship attraction, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, which will utilize cutting-edge ride technology and offer a storytelling experience like never before.
Interactive and Themed Experiences
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a grand atrium, ride omnidirectional lifts, and watch the trial of Dolores Umbridge while encountering beloved characters such as Harry Potter and the Death Eaters. For live entertainment, Le Cirque Arcanus will offer the first-ever full-scale theater production within the Wizarding World, complete with puppetry, aerialists, live performers, and special effects. Interactive wands will allow guests to cast enchanting spells, available for purchase from Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique and other themed shops.
Dine and Shop Like a Wizard
The new land will also boast several highly-themed dining options including Café L’Air de la Sirène, Le Gobelet Noir, and Bar Moonshine. As with other Wizarding World locations, exclusive beverages like butterbeer will be available at the Bièraubeurre cart. For those looking to take a piece of magic home, shops like Les Galeries Mirifiques and the Tour en Floo will offer a range of themed keepsakes.
Set to open in 2025, Epic Universe will transform Universal Orlando Resort into a weeklong vacation destination with 50 attractions and three new hotels, including the Universal Helios Grand Hotel with its own dedicated theme park entrance. For those eager to get a sneak peek, the Universal Epic Universe Preview Center at CityWalk offers a model of the new park enhanced with augmented reality.
