Introduction to Air France’s La Première Experience

Air France recently introduced its latest offering: the La Première first-class product. This new cabin experience was developed over three years to cater to the growing demand for ultra-high-end travel, particularly among U.S. travelers. Coincidentally, the inaugural route for these luxurious suites will connect to and from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Luxurious Accommodations and Amenities

The La Première suites are exclusively available on selected Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and boast an impressive 24 percent more space than their predecessors. Each suite, measuring nearly 38 square feet, is designed with five windows and a sophisticated soft gray and white color palette accented by red. The seating area edges towards luxury, transforming into a 6.5-foot-long bed with a width of almost 2.5 feet. High-tech amenities include two 32-inch 4K screens, a control tablet for suite management, high-speed Wi-Fi, and custom-designed pajamas from Jacquemus, along with a gift box featuring premium Sisley products.

Culinary Excellence and Ground Services

The culinary offerings are just as impressive, with a team of Michelin-starred chefs, including Emmanuel Renaut and Dominique Crenn, collaborating with Air France to deliver outstanding dining experiences. The table settings themselves are a testament to French craftsmanship, featuring Limoges porcelain plates, Christofle cutlery, and Degrenne metalwork. Additionally, Air France ensures an exceptional ground experience by providing seamless pickup and escorting guests to the exclusive La Première lounge, further elevating the journey.

While pricing for La Première varies depending on the route and seasonal demand, it typically falls between business class and private jet experiences. Notably, many private jet travelers are opting to reserve all four suites for a more affordable yet luxurious alternative. As noted by Ben Smith, CEO of Air France-KLM, future routes extending this exquisite first-class experience include Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo.
