Exciting New Routes to Italy

American Airlines is enhancing travel options for passengers heading to Italy next summer with the introduction of two new routes from the United States. Starting May 6, 2025, the carrier will launch daily flights from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Naples, providing a convenient connection to this historic city. This new route will be operated on a Boeing 787-8 aircraft, ensuring a comfortable journey for travelers.

Enhanced Connectivity to Venice

In addition to the Naples route, American Airlines will also debut its first-ever nonstop service from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Venice, beginning June 5, 2025. This route marks another step in American’s commitment to expand travel options for customers planning their summer vacations. The flight from Dallas will also operate daily on a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-8 aircraft, making it easier for travelers to explore the enchanting canals of Venice.

Expanding Seasonal Services

The announcement follows American Airlines’ recent operations of seasonal flights from Philadelphia to both Naples and Venice. Brian Znotins, senior vice president of network and schedule planning, remarked on the growing popularity of Italy as a summer destination, stating that the airline’s new routes would help travelers shop, dine, and unwind in their favorite Italian locales. Additionally, American will bolster its services to Rome by adding a second daily summer flight from Philadelphia and commencing Miami services a month earlier in June.

Reservations for these new flights will be available starting November 4, facilitating travel plans for eager tourists looking to immerse themselves in Italy’s rich culture and stunning scenery.
