Marriott Bonvoy and Uber recently announced significant updates to their partnership that will enhance the experience for loyalty program members. Effective October 14, 2023, members of Marriott Bonvoy will find it easier to utilize Uber’s services directly through the Bonvoy app.

Exciting New Features for Travelers

One of the most notable changes is the introduction of the UberX Reserve option, which allows users to book rides in advance, up to 90 days prior. This feature is particularly beneficial for travelers needing transportation to airports or events. Furthermore, the app will also track user flights and automatically adjust pick-up times as needed, ensuring a smoother travel experience.

Updated Earnings Structure for Members

When utilizing Uber services, Marriott Bonvoy members will now earn 2 points for every dollar spent on reserved UberX rides. For premium rides like UberXL, Uber Comfort, Uber SUV, and Uber Black, users continue to accumulate 3 points per dollar. However, it’s essential to note that the earning rate for Uber Eats orders delivered to Marriott properties has been modified, decreasing from 6 points to 1 point, with some exceptions based on the type of accommodation.

For those subscribed to Uber One, which offers discounts and other benefits, Marriott Bonvoy’s Silver Elite status will also be granted. This alignment with Uber’s offerings reflects Marriott’s commitment to providing added value and benefits for their loyal members.
