New Route Announcement
Volaris El Salvador has recently expanded its flight offerings by launching new nonstop flights from Miami, facilitating easier access to the vibrant Central American country. The airline is now operating four weekly flights between Miami International Airport (MIA) and the capital city, San Salvador.
Operational Details
The recently inaugurated flights utilize an Airbus A320 aircraft, which accommodates up to 174 passengers. According to Ronny Rodriguez, Volaris’ Sustainability and Corporate Development Director, this expansion caters to the increasing travel demand from Salvadorans and Central Americans desiring to connect with the United States.
A Competitive Edge
Tickets for the new flights commence at a budget-friendly price of $49 one-way from Miami. These flights now operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, complementing the existing one-stop flights to San Salvador via San Pedro Sula, Honduras, that were introduced in December 2022. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava expressed optimism regarding the new routes, stating that the city looks forward to welcoming even more visitors from San Salvador.
Volaris El Salvador also connects to several other major U.S. cities including New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Houston, and Oakland. Alongside Volaris, competitors like American Airlines and Avianca also offer direct flights to San Salvador from Miami, enhancing travel options for those eager to explore this beautiful, surf-rich country positioned between Guatemala and Honduras along the Pacific Ocean.
