Virgin Atlantic will make it easier to fly between the United States and the United Kingdom next summer with added frequencies to both New York City and Boston.
The UK airline will add a seventh daily flight between London and New York for summer 2024, according to Virgin Atlantic. That will mark a record number of flights for the airline between the two major cities.
Virgin will also add a second daily flight to Boston from London.
These flights will be operated on the airline’s A350-1000 aircraft and A330-900neo aircraft, which features the carrier’s Retreat Suite complete with lie-flat seats and fully closing doors.
In addition to the new flights, Virgin Atlantic will increase service to Miami from 11 flights per week to twice daily and add a seasonal summer flight from Manchester to Las Vegas. In total, the airline will fly an average of 27 daily departures to the U.S. to cities like Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa, and Washington D.C.
Virgin Atlantic, joined the SkyTeam Alliance network earlier this year, aligning itself with Delta Air Lines. As part of that partnership, customers have access to the same perks and benefits when flying with each partner airline.
The carrier has also worked to better accommodate passengers with seeing eye dogs by training its cabin crew on how best to approach passengers with sight loss, how to help them navigate narrow spaces and stairs, and how to assist them to take a seat.
